Blueprint Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how 404 Apps LLC collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you use Blueprint across iOS, Android, Web, customer support, and related billing and analytics systems.

1. Overview

By using Blueprint, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. This Policy applies to information collected through the Blueprint app, the Blueprint website, and related support and subscription workflows. It does not apply to third-party platforms or services that have their own privacy policies.

2. Who We Are

404 Apps LLC operates Blueprint, a creator tool that helps users save video inspiration, organize categories and boards, understand content structure, write scripts, collaborate with others, and record videos using a built-in teleprompter.

3. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account information such as email address, display name, profile details, and profile photo if you choose to upload one
  • Saved content such as video links, notes, scripts, recordings, categories, boards, and planning data
  • Support requests, emails, and feedback you send to us

Information collected automatically

  • Device, browser, operating system, app version, locale, time zone, and approximate diagnostic information
  • Usage events such as feature interactions, screens viewed, session activity, and performance diagnostics
  • Crash logs, timestamps, and technical troubleshooting data

Information from third parties

  • Public page information and metadata associated with social links you choose to import into Blueprint
  • Limited subscription, receipt, or transaction information from Apple, Google Play, Stripe, and RevenueCat to support billing, entitlement checks, fraud prevention, disputes, and refunds

4. Camera, Microphone, Storage, and Media Access

Blueprint may request access to your camera, microphone, photos, or media storage in order to support creator workflows such as teleprompter recording, saving media, adding imagery, and exporting or managing recordings.

  • Camera: used when you choose to capture media or record within Blueprint
  • Microphone: used when you choose to record audio during teleprompter or video recording workflows
  • Photos and media storage: used to access media you choose to import and to save or manage content created in Blueprint

Blueprint does not intentionally record video or audio without your direct action. You can manage these permissions through your device settings, though some features may not work if permissions are denied.

5. How We Use Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve Blueprint and its creator workflow features
  • Save, organize, display, process, and sync your content across supported surfaces
  • Operate subscriptions, billing, account access, and entitlement checks
  • Respond to support requests and communicate about your account or service changes
  • Analyze usage trends, troubleshoot bugs, and improve reliability, safety, and product quality
  • Send onboarding emails, product updates, newsletters, and promotional communications as described below

6. Marketing, Newsletter, and Email Communications

By creating a Blueprint account, subscribing, or otherwise providing your email address to us, you consent to receive service-related communications as well as newsletters, product announcements, promotional emails, and other marketing communications from Blueprint and 404 Apps LLC.

You may unsubscribe from promotional or newsletter emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting blueprint@404apps.com. We may still send transactional or service communications regarding your account, security, billing, support, or legal notices.

7. Legal Bases for Processing

Where a legal basis is required, we process personal information based on one or more of the following: performance of a contract with you, legitimate interests such as product improvement and security, your consent where required, and compliance with legal obligations.

8. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers and platforms that support analytics, hosting, storage, authentication, subscriptions, billing, customer support, attribution, and infrastructure operations, including providers such as Google Firebase, Mixpanel, AppsFlyer, RevenueCat, Stripe, Apple, and Google Play.

We may also share information where required by law, to enforce our rights, to protect our users or systems, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale.

9. Cookies, Web Tracking, Analytics, and Diagnostics

When you use Blueprint on the web, we and our service providers may use cookies or similar technologies for authentication, session continuity, analytics, diagnostics, attribution, and security. We also use analytics and crash reporting tools to understand usage patterns, diagnose issues, and improve stability.

10. Subscriptions and Payment Data

Payments are handled by Apple, Google Play, Stripe, RevenueCat, or other authorized processors. We do not store full payment card details. We may receive limited transaction, receipt, entitlement, refund, or subscription status data to verify access, investigate disputes, prevent fraud, and support customer service.

11. User-Generated Content

Blueprint stores the content you create or import, including scripts, notes, recordings, categories, organization data, and collaboration data, so that the service can function. If you share content externally or with collaborators, you are responsible for the information you choose to share.

12. Retention and Account Deletion

We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide the service, operate the business, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements. If you delete your Blueprint account or request deletion, your access to Blueprint ends immediately and we will delete or anonymize personal data from active systems within 30 days, unless a longer retention period is required by law or is reasonably necessary for billing, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or security.

13. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. Your Rights and Choices

  • Update account information where available inside Blueprint
  • Manage device permissions such as camera, microphone, and media access in device settings
  • Request account or data deletion by following in-app deletion steps or contacting us
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link
  • Request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability where applicable by contacting blueprint@404apps.com

15. International Transfers

Your information may be processed or stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

16. Children's Privacy

Blueprint is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact blueprint@404apps.com.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date above. Continued use of Blueprint after the revised Policy takes effect means you accept the updated Policy.
